A new McDonald’s for Cobham

We are in the process of bringing forward proposals for a new McDonald’s restaurant at 17 Portsmouth Road in Cobham.

As part of our commitment to community engagement, we hosted a public consultation in May 2024 to enable members of the local community to view and comment on our emerging proposals.

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to view our proposals and provide us with comments. We have carefully reviewed all the feedback we received and have now submitted a Change of Use application to Elmbridge Borough Council.

A new restaurant will deliver approximately 120 new jobs across a range of roles, including training and opportunities for career progression. The majority of staff will be employed from the local area.

A new restaurant would generate £50,000 – £60,000 per year in business rates payable to Elmbridge Borough Council, helping to fund key local services.

PlanetProtecting the planet

100% of the energy that powers our restaurants comes from renewable energy sources like solar and wind.

LitterOur position on littering

Management at every McDonald’s restaurant undertake a minimum of three litter picks each day to collect all litter in a 150m radius of the site, not just McDonald’s packaging.

PeopleSupporting the community

90% of our restaurants are franchised, with many franchisees supporting community and charitable causes in their area.
