Roads and Access

Vehicle access to and from our new restaurant is proposed to the northern extent of the site, via the existing access with Balmacassie Brae.

Pedestrian access is proposed to the west of the site, connecting into the existing footway provision on Balmacassie Brae. Within the site, safe pedestrian routes will be provided via paved footways and marked crossing facilities. Access for cyclists would be via the main site access.

The proposed car parking provision is sufficient to accommodate the expected level of demand and a carefully planned internal queueing system will be in operation to regulate vehicles once within the site.

Deliveries will typically occur three times per week at pre-arranged times. A careful process of prior notification and car park management will be in operation to ensure that deliveries can be accommodated within the car park.

A Transport Statement will be submitted as part of the planning application which will consider the anticipated impacts of the proposed development on the local road network, along with any mitigation required. Based on studies undertaken to date, the scheme is not expected to have a significant impact on the operation of the local road network.
